TIME TO LISTEN AND HEAR GOD’S WAKE UP CALL
2 Chronicles 7:14 and Romans 13:11

1. Ever been so tired you slept through the alarm or you hit the snooze button?
For the sake of ourselves and our kids, we need to hear God’s alarm…it’s going off.

A. We have fear of being moral. To stand. To defend. To be heard. To shine! (R 21:8)
B. In Lk. 22:45 they slept from sorrow. “Maybe it will go away if we sleep it off.”
C. Jesus asks “Why?” in 22:46. We don’t need to sleep, we need a wake up call!

3. Rom. 13:11, I Cor. 15:34, Eph. 5:14

A. Like Apostles, no time to sleep yet! When we see blaise’ no big deal attitudes
happening we know someone is sleeping! WE NEED HIS WAKE UP CALL!
B. TXT! I’d love revival from club mentality to deep spiritual belief in Christ.
C. His revival seen in a dynamic way! Leads to redemption of lost in the world!

I. FOR REVIVAL OUR BIGGEST HINDRANCE MAY BE US

1. “If my people turn” (Implies His people were turned away? “My” used 3x.

A. If ask “Who is stopping revival”…its not the world. God answers “my people.”
B. The reason the church isn’t on fire isn’t God’s fault…it’s the churches fault.

2. What is problem? OT reason clouds didn’t give rain in 2 Chr. 6:26 was “They have
sinned.” Deut. 11:13-14 God promised sure way to find His blessing was obedience.

A. The biggest sin we can commit is claim to be His but fail to listen, love, serve Him.
B. When last quiet time you were w/God? Last time heard/obeyed? Wonder why not revived?

3. Biggest word missing today OBEDIENCE. (We obey what we like NOT HIS.)
We can work to find, follow and finish His will, whether at school, work or home.

II. GOD PLAINLY TELLS US WHAT THE REVIVAL PROCESS IS. (14)
Ever analyzed process of repentance? 4 steps when sick of living self-deception.

YOU HAVE TO BE BROKEN: Same word for humble in Jdgs 8:28. (Recall, God’s people oppressed via their sin.) Israel couldn’t lift her head. Need same humility today. He respects it! (Ps. 51:17) Do you live example of admitting sin and getting right?

YOU CAN LEARN TO PRAY: 12 OT for prayer is different. Means-self-judgment. WE SAY “LORD SEND US GREAT REVIVAL” but MUST say it starts with me!
Irritates me that prayer is out of school/gov. Should alarm if not in your life or church.

IT’S TIME TO SEEK GOD: How often do we earnestly seek to know holy perfection?

ITS TIME TO MEAN IT WHEN WE SAY HOLINESS IS A WAY OF LIFE: The first time I realized a need to preach was when I saw voices that declared God but didn’t seem to live to back it up.Today, we have to translate the praises we sing into everyday life.Large issue we face is how to live holy in world of moral decay and degradation.

III. PROMISE OF REVIVAL COMES FROM GOD: WE CAN’T NOT HAVE IT.

1. God’s response comes to people who want it in 3 promises:

A. I will hear from Heaven. I will forgive their sins. I will heal their land.
B. Divine visitation, divine forgiveness and divine restoration.
C. Once again, the things we cannot force or do for ourselves He gives freely!

2. Remember before conversion? Is. 59:1-2) God can still hear us cry out!
Remember when convicted of sin? God still forgives us when we ask! (I Jn. 1:9)
Remember when you were hurt? The balm of Gilead still soothes to heal us all!

1. Revival can happen when we are determined to obey Him.

2. Right now, God is here. I’m saying to my family while in presence of His holiness,
if you are not passionate about Him, admit whatever it is hindering you from revival?

3. Today you can accept His process that brings revival NOW. It is time to affirm “God
I trust in your promise to revive me!” THIS IS GOD’S WAKE UP CALL!
